I love this piece about chickens! Quite late on in life I’ve discovered just how much personality and sometimes cussedness chickens can have – and they adapt very well. Chickens of my acquaintance spend quite a bit of time pecking on the house windows wanting to come in, and an open door is just an invitation to inspect my house.

I was in K.W. for the first time ever in Feb and happened upon Schooners.
Well there, up on the stage, was a Singer as you may find in a million such places.
What really caught my eye was this little Pup, sleeping in Micheal McCloud’s
guitar case.
It was an open air venue and thought nothing of it till l read your blog about it being illegal to have dogs in a bar.
What a bunch of hogwash!
It was that Pup and a hundred other such peculiarities that are bringing me back this June.
K.W. is my kind of place..tell the powers that be, these are the things that make it a vibrant unique community and draw people back.

I am Linda Coontz’s sister in law. We were there last week and THANK GOD I didn’t wear socks with my flip flops!!! It was cooler than I wanted it to be, but had a great time!!!

Hi, Sara! Glad you’re enjoying the blog. Sorry I have been a little lax about posting lately. With the holidays and high season approaching, we have been crazy busy, seeing to annual maintenance issues and getting ready for things like the Innkeepers Holiday Tour of Inns that we are participating in (today’s big project is to haul all the decorations out of storage — we should be looking quite festive by the end of the day).
