Colan soap opera slugfest.
The attraction in picking this up is of course Gene Colan's work, which, while shadowy, is certainly a lot more realistic of figure than that produced today.
The storyline for a lot of this is quite long, which your shadowy master villain or villains, sending a stream of low-rent villains DD's way.
Lots of fighting for him.
Plenty of on panel angst about which woman he really loves, and vice versa, from Karen Page to the Black Widow - who features in many of these issues.
No contest, if you ask me - the Widow saves him more than once in this book alone.
