I have purchased other bird books in the past with drawings and short decscriptions, but this one is superior with photographs and more accurate descriptions. Well worth the dollar amount.

This is an excellent handook for anyone interested in identifying and knowing more about birds in the Florida area.

The book is all inclusive as far as birds go and the break down for each bird is so very much also. The pages before the individual birds is all comprehensive too. The one thing I would criticize would be is the size (to small)of print but at the same time it could not be larger and fit so nicely into such as this.

I spend the cold English Winters in Florida and wanted to be able to recognize all the lovely Florida birds, especially the ones I feed in my garden.
This is first class, its easy to find the bird you are looking for and plenty of information on it.
A great book.

3 out of 5 stars Not just Florida   January 24, 2008
I wanted a book which focused on birds found in Florida. This book has birds in it that live in Canada, and New England...and I can not find some local birds listed in it. Don't get me wrong, it does have some birds that live in Florida, but it does not contain several birds that I see regularly on my property in Florida, that I was hoping to identify. If I wanted to read about birds that live in Canada, I would have bought "Birds of North America".
