Book Description Fully updated for 2006, this award-winning travel guide and organizer is now in full color, and includes in-depth coverage of Disney's 50th anniversary "Happiest Celebration on Earth" events. The four major theme parks Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom receive comprehensive coverage with detailed layouts, color fold-out maps, and a concise description of every ride and attraction. Each of the 20 on-site hotels is profiled in exhaustive 4-6 page descriptions with photos and layouts. Candid, personal reviews rate the park's 250 dining options, from full-service restaurants to casual counter eateries. "KidTips," "TweenTips," and "TeenTips" written by the Marx's 13-year old daughter offer a kid's perspective on the attractions, while age-appropriateness ratings by the authors give parents an extra heads up. Well-organized and highly functional, the Deluxe edition features a padded 6-ring binder in embossed, brown leather-look vinyl, extra storage pockets, and includes a ball point pen.

Please Pass the Passporter! January 9, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My whole family enjoyed the Passporter for the Disney Cruise Line and found it to be very helpful! 16 of us just returned from the Western Caribbean aboard the Magic. There was one shore excursion rating that I will have to disagree with. The Cozumel Beach Break recived an "8"! I would give it a zero-as in "Don't go on this! Stay on the ship!" It was very expensive, $59 for adults and $42 for children. For this we got a 25 minute bus trip-no complaints about that-to a Mexican beach and water park. There was 1" between each beach chair - if you could call it a chair- and there were row after row of them. We settled on the pool which the children enjoyed. The food has horrible-buffet style-with unrecognizable and unappetizing food on it! UGH. There were bees everywhere and one child was stung by one. The Pina Colada I had seemed to have no alcohol in it, and the whole day was a total rip-off. We spent $380 on this when we could have been aboard the Magic with no crowds enjoying the pools and the food there for nothing. My daughter and granddaughter did the dolphin experience which also recived an 8, and they enjoyed it immensely! Wonderful pictures of her kissing the dolphin!
A True Pleasure September 25, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product is fantastic. I'm just amazed at the quality of both the physical product as well as the writing. I was a little skeptical, but it's definitely worth it to buy this loose-leaf version. It travels very well, with the clasp keeping it closed and protecting the contents. And the pockets for keeping receipts and small momentos, with their spaces for recording any memorable events of the day, are very nice to have.
While I still recommend getting the Unofficial Guide as a companion volume due to its level-headed and thorough coverage of the parks, this book adds beautiful maps, information about additional activities available at Disney World (such as parasailing), and mini-reviews of every attraction and restaurant. I found all of it to be very useful and worthwhile.
Truly a wonderful product that is a pleasure to use!
Wonderful Product August 15, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The book is very well written and each year the updates are put in bold. The authors do a lot of research to stay on top of changes that go on in Disney. I like the Deluxe version because I just have to purchase the new inserts each year. I bought my deluxe version several years ago and continue to purchase their new version for the deluxe binder. Just unsnap it and take out the old version (which I keep for reference) and put in the new version and you are done. I don't take the books to the parks because I don't want to deal with handling it, but it is good to keep at the hotel to put your receipts in at the end of the day or to journal what you did. It also keeps my itenerary planning in the pockets so I just have to grab them and go. Very great book.
Disney Disney Disney February 28, 2006 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
What can I say...the book will be great to hold items for our trip...my 15 year old will like doing that...journaling in it as well. There are positive and negatives to this book. The positive is definately the information regarding the parks, restaurants and so on. The negative is that the book is so thick that when you want to close it, you think the snap might break...I don't think the cost is worth it to tell you the truth...probally the paper back one is a better value. I am alittle more than slightly disappointed in the money lost buying this book...like I said...the guide part of it is very nice...although I have three other guide books, this one is one of the better ones.
In my opinion...skip the fancy 'deluxe' version and buy the paper back one...unless you really want it mainly for looks...and then it doesn't even say Disney on it anyhow...oh well.
Awesome travel guide February 26, 2006 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is the third Passporter I purchased and each one is better than the one before! I finally bought the keepsake version and am very happy I did. If you are looking for a well organized and concise guide to help you plan your Disney trip this is the book for you. I love the pockets in the back which not only help you keep your trip organized but also serves as a great keepsake. As an added bonus register your Passporter at their web site and you will get the most current info which will keep you updated until the day you leave for your trip. Happy Planning!
