Product Description
This study guide targets teacher competencies and skills for Biology. You read four years of material between the covers of one study guide. Regardless if your is multiple choice or essay format you will have ample material to reflect upon to do well on these formats.

The majority of XAM study guides have 125 question multiple choice sample tests. the questions are medium to hard in difficulty but reasonable for a trained teacher candidate to answer. Since the questions do highly resemble the real test we are frequently asked if they are formker tests. They are not. If any question from our book appears on the test it would be a coincidence.

XAM Publishing, Inc. has e-mail support at winwin1111@aol.com. XAM staff welcomes your updates and values your input. Each year a new version of the study guide is released so you may have the best in educational research.

4 out of 5 stars VERY USEFUL!   August 1, 2007
This book is a must have if you are taking the Praxis II in Biology. I did my state's alternate route to teaching and coming from a non-Biology background I had to pass the Biology 0235 praxis test in order to teach. This book was the basis for all my studies. While I would recommend studing other things along with this book; the book lays the basis for the material you need to study. The test in the back of the book is not like the actual Praxis test but the content material in the book covers all the main high points you will need to know. If you already have a degree in Biology this might not be the book for you, but if your Biology needs some work I would recommend this book. With the help of this book and a few others I was able to pass the praxis the first time. Only real negative with the book for me was that some material was a little over my head and the material was not written in easy to understand language for us non-Biology people. If you know and understand all the information in this book you should pass the praxis.

2 out of 5 stars Not Worth the $$$$   February 20, 2007
I purchased this book in order to review for my Biology Content Exam. Although the information is very very basic, it was a decent review. However, there were over 20 spelling and grammar errors. Also, the book contradicted itself. I purchased this book for $35.00 and I was not pleased at all. I would have been better off studying from a high school Biology textbook.

5 out of 5 stars CSET Books that Work   February 2, 2007
This book is good for anyone who has been out of school for awhile. Some might say its a waste of time. But the material is presented in an easy to write fashion. It helped me pass.

1 out of 5 stars Complete waste of time and money!   September 7, 2006
This Praxis prep book is a complete waste of time and money! I must have quizzed myself at least five times from cover to cover and yet, the actual Praxis looks nothing like it. Yes, there were many spelling errors on the practice exam and the answer key also had several mistakes! I didn't give this book zero stars because that wasn't an option on the ratings scale. The book has incomplete bibliographic information and looks like it was printed by a third grade class. Shame on the writers and publishers of this book for deceiving and misleading the public in such a blatant manner!

2 out of 5 stars Better off with out   November 23, 2002

I came across a number of errors in this book. Beyond the embarrassing typos, Several explanatory charts were missing, the bibliography promised on the title page was no where to be found, and at least two of the multiple choice questions in the back of the book were dead wrong when checked against my Biology 101 text.

Frustrating to say the least. My advice is you're better off without it.
