Product Description The third in a series of pocket-sized paperbacks answers the question, "What would it be like to walk through Disney's Animal Kingdom Park with an Imagineer by your side?" The Imagineering Field Guide to Disney's Animal Kingdom provides that experience: pointing out details and telling stories, back stories, and Imagineering insights never before heard, condensed into a portable, easily-referenced park guide. You'll never spend time at Walt Disney World the same way again.
Each spread contains fascinating textual information and related images (drawings, photos, graphics) such as:
Set-up, backgrounds, and origins of each park/land/mini-land
Concept art to compare to the finished show
Timeline information (opening dates, previous shows in the same venue, alterations and updates)
- Photography of the details and big pictures being discussed
Special props, design sources, artistic inspirations, nomenclature gags

Newest October 1, 2008 These books tell you all about the story behind Disney World like Pirates Of the Caribbean's Never ending game of chess.
Not quite enough info. January 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Decent little book but probably not enough info. The modern marvels dvd on Walt Disney World gives some much more interesting info on the Animal Kingdom.
Loads of trivia December 2, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A very entertaining and informative account of the making of The Animal Kingdom. Lots of insider information. I would recommend this book for anyone who craves the "back story".

Disney behind the scenes. July 22, 2007 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
For all you Disney-aholics, this was a great behind the scenes book that tells much about Animal Kingdom that is not public knowledge. It takes each 'Land' in AK & gives background, foreground & sideways looks at what is and what might have been. Very enjoyable book, as were the ones about MK & Epcot. Now I'm waiting for one about MGM.
