Great overall educational guide to Floridas' wildlife June 25, 2001 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Great book to keep in your car. Whenever I see something I don't recognize, I usually find it in this book. I've identified many plants and animals using this book.
THE nature guide for the Florida family. May 29, 2001 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
As an amateur photographer and father of 2, I have found this book indispensible. It covers the full range of what we find in the field in one easy to carry guide. It is well organized, with nice, detailed photos for identification, with the species information right there with the photo--no cross referencing. It has helped to open up Florida's natural bounty to myself and my kids, and I would highly recommend it as a general field guide to FL.
Great book about stuff you will find in Florida! October 26, 1999 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
This book is helpful because it contains descriptions of plants and animals, all of which you can find somewhere in Florida. This makes it easier to find out what you are looking at. It would be nice if it were divided by characteristics, at least more than how it is. I still like it a lot. Points out subtle differences among very similar plants and animals.
