5 out of 5 stars The best of the bunch   September 22, 2000

I bought 5 different books for my family's trip to Orlando and found this one the most helpful. I only wish we'd bought it earlier...we picked it up a week before leaving and read it on the way down. But I wish we had it in time to take advantage of the author's information on the Disney hotels which was very through and gave you real direction about which resort is best for different kinds of people.

The author's information about the theme parks was very helpful and saved us both time and money at several points. Her restaurant tips were also good. She steered us to what turned out to be our favorite place to eat fron the whole trip - The Prime Time Restaurant, which incidentially, was totally panned by the Unoffical Guide. But we enjoyed it so much we ended up eating there twice.

5 out of 5 stars Great Info...especially about the Disney Cruise Line   September 14, 2000

We were looking for a book with information about the Disney Crusie Line with children. We are taking our daughters (9 and 13) on the Disney Wonder in February 2001, and we were looking for some insight that our travel agent couldn't give us. This book explained everything from check in at our Disney Resort to boarding the ship....it also explained all the activities available for our children and the dining schedules. I definately recommend this book to anyone who is looking for the same information that we were looking for!! (or any information on Disney with kids!!!)

5 out of 5 stars The best series available for parents   August 11, 2000

I buy Wiley's guide every year and always find her to be right on the money when it comes to rating the rides, recommending hotels, and giving tips on extras like how and where to meet the characters. What separates this book from the other Disney guides is that it's realistic....the unoffical guide lays out a itinerary that would kill anyone with kids and the official guide is all sugary and light, never telling you how to handle the crowds and the heat and all the other things that are just a factor when you're at Disney World. Wiley hits the middle ground - she's positive and obviously knows (and loves) her stuff but she'll also give you the facts.

5 out of 5 stars Wish I had known 2001 version is available...   August 6, 2000

I ordered this book a week or two ago and found the information to be extremely useful. However, I noticed that the book was written in 1999 and some things could probably be updated. Since we will not be going until January, I was wishing that I had waited for the newer version. Today I saw the new version and realized that I should have looked harder before I ordered the 2000 version. On the plus side, I did save a couple of dollars and I don't think that much changed.

4 out of 5 stars Good Reference for Disney World   July 10, 2000

We're gearing up toward a Disney World vacation late this August, and have relied on this book thoroughly. It isn't the most comprehensive book, but it offers lots of good advice. Good thing for any travelling family.
