5 out of 5 stars Great resource!   April 8, 2005
The author really understands what it's like to travel with children. Great resource for anyone visiting Dinsey with kids to know how to make the most of your time there. Don't leave home with out reading this book. You'll know how to get the most out of it for your kids - and yourself!

We found this book invaluable for our trip to WDW this summer! The tips are downright priceless, like using Goofy's Barnstormer roller coaster as a test to see if your child can handle Big Thunder Mountain. On the author's advice, we allowed ourselves to split up so that my older son and my husband rode Space Mountain and Splash Mountain first thing in the morning, while my daughter and I hung out in Toon Town and Fantasyland before the crowds were too bad. We saved a lot of time and avoided the super long lines of the afternoon.

I did not find this book to be of great assistance. I found much more helpful information on the web. Allearsnet.com and magictrips.com were of particular help.

2 out of 5 stars Just changed the year on the cover   March 22, 2004

I bought this same book's 2002 edition as we were to travel to Disney then. Something came up & we couldn't go, so we are going this year. I bought the 2004 edition expecting some updates. When I compared them side by side, they were exactly the same, even down to the page numbers the chapters started on. I think to just change the year on the cover is misleading. The info in the book is good but I returned the 2004 edition and will just use the 2002.

There are many really great books out describing WDW, and this is certainly one of them. However, the reason I rank this one so highly is because it is the only one that is available for Universal Orlando. I have never been to Universal before and didn't have too much time to waste on my recent vacation. This guide allowed me to completely plan my visit so that I could maximize our time and not exhaust my family's energy or fun levels. We also visited WDW, and it was nice to have one book for two excellent vacation sites.
