One of the best WDW books on the market! September 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Loved the book! It's a great read straight through or specific selections. Really get the "behind-the-scenes" info on the park attractions. It's perfect for any Disney enthusiast. It's not the best book for PLANNING a vacation to WDW but it wasn't designed to be that kind of book.
A Great SUPPLEMENTAL Book for a Trip to WDW September 17, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I enjoyed this book. It had lots of great background info as well as extensive descriptions of the rides and attractions.
It doesn't work as a "planning" book at all. It is lacking information on the resorts and dining, and really doesn't give any insight about how to get around.
If you already have a planning book (Passporter is my favorite), this is a great background book...but shouldn't be considered if you can only get ONE book for your WDW trip.
The Best Book of Disney World! September 11, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The only thing I didn't like about the book...it wasn't me and my family doing the grueling research! 700 times in 5 years...wow! I am impressed and I don't think you could have written a book of this caliber without that many visits (ok maybe 500...).
This is the book I was dreaming of writing from my visits and thousands (literally well over 15,000 photos taken in my last 3 visits).
This book is the best one on the market (if you are looking for a more standard intro and reference to Disney, my second favorite book...The unofficial Guide 2008 is the one to buy...but if you want the best buy BOTH!)
The book is packed with great photos and insightful information (from someone who KNOWS Disney...over 700 times in 5 years...I am still amazed).
I own all of the Disney guidebooks and most of the major park publications and I whole-heartedly recommend this book for anyone's collection.
An intelligent guide to Disney magic September 7, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
But just in case you are looking for a little Florida magic outside of Orlando, check out this travel guide Real Florida: A Travel Guide for the Passionate Yet Practical (The Budget Romance Traveler series) It focuses on excellent places to visit in Florida outside Orlando's resort world. Quiet, but authentic places like Lake Wales, DeLand and Sebring.
Bring it with you to Disney! August 30, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book is better than the "Official Disney World" book by Birnbaum. Some Great things about this book: - Plenty of clear, beautiful Photos on glossy paper! Birnbaum's book hardly contains any photos, and they are on matte paper (like a paperback book) - Daily itinerary with hints on reducing wait times. We just returned from Disney World this August, the hints were fantastic! We didn't wait more than 30 minutes for any rides or attractions! - Fun facts and histories about Disney world, the rides, and characters.
The book was small enough to fit in my camera bag (it is an SLR bag) to bring with me to the parks.
