5 out of 5 stars This book was a lifesaver on our trip   August 1, 2007

Just got back from Disney World and this book was invaluable throughout the trip. We carried it through the parks with us every day and had it out constantly.

The detail about the rides and the shows enabled us to make decisions on what to ride and when, and who the ride was suited for. We had four adults and two kids - ages 5 and 7. I know it's a little thing, but my kids enjoyed trying to find the hidden Mickey's that are listed in the back of the book.

The book is extremely well organized so it was easy to flip open to a specific park and find information on a ride or show quickly. There is a lot less detail on the eating places, but it does list the type of food served and the approximate cost per person to eat there. That was really all the information we needed to decide where to eat.

For a family that is going to Disney World that hasn't been there in a while, I would not only recommend getting this book but carrying it with you to the park every day. Even if you plan ahead there are a lot of decisions to make during the course of the day and this book gives you valuable information to make your trip "Magical".

4 out of 5 stars Great read but missing some important info.   July 30, 2007

This book has the most beautiful pictures ! They are so much fun to look at, they make you feel like you are right there in the parks. The book offers some great hidden gems to look for in the parks and some very neat facts about the different rides and attractions.

A few shortcomings of the book though are the lack of hotel and dining information. If you are using this book to plan a trip to Walt Disney World then you will need more info to make decisions on resorts and dining. The book also describes in detail the rides and attractions which is a lot of fun if you want to relive them at home but if you haven't experienced the rides yet it may be too much info and ruin the surprise.

Overall it is a great book, lots of fun to read. It's great for us who have been there several times and want to relive the fun. But it does fall short on some details in the resorts and dining sections. That being said it is a book I am sure I will reread and have a home on my bookshelf for a long time to come.

5 out of 5 stars Great for info on the parks   July 30, 2007
This is a great book with wonderful pictures.

If you are looking for a book about the resorts or restaurants then I recommend one of the other guides, but if you want all the info on the parks and rides, this is the book for you.

I would recommed for those guests who have not been in a few years, or wants to get your group hyped for the trip!

5 out of 5 stars One of the Best Guides to WDW   July 28, 2007
Since WDW is always changing, upgrading and evolving, any comprehensive guide to WDW will be a snap-shot in time. This 2007 comprehensive guide has set a standard that few other guides have achieved. The Guide is an exceptional exploration of Walt Disney World for first visitors and frequent guests. The compact guide is well-organized and detailed guide for the rides, background stories, and fun details that can be easily overlooked by even the most experienced WDW guest. The first-rate photos and excellent writing make this guide a very enjoyable reading experience.

5 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Good and Informative   July 28, 2007
Walt Disney World is a vacation destination that I have frequented for over 30 years, so my need for a guide book has become quite minimal. However, on recommendations from friends and others, my curiosity was piqued, and I made the purchase. Since then, after several weeks of reading, I haven't felt cheated. Unlike most Disney guide books, the authors have managed to keep the book's information EXTREMELY current. The book contains some wonderful photography and unique information that actually surprised me. Please understand, there are some real good guide books to Walt Disney World (Birnbaum's, the PassPorter, and the Unofficial Guide), but this one has to be included in that group. Please, do not hesitate to give this book a chance. I guarantee that this guide book will keep you busy until your magical moment arrives.
