Wouldn't purchase again February 17, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
It was interesting to read thru once, but it doesn't have nearly the depth of information of some of the other Disney guides (notably, The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World). I keep going back to the "Unofficial Guide" to review and look up info, but I haven't picked up Fodor's again since the first reading.
Not one we'd buy again February 6, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We had four books we reviewed for our recent trip, three "adult" and one "for kids, by kids" book. We read this book once, but honestly didn't review or refer back to it after we had read it. It seemed to lack the depth of other guides, yet didn't seem to have enough of the kids focus. For our purposes, one adult guidebook for the adults, and one "for kids, by kids" book for the kids was the way to go.
Kept us organized and saved precious vacation time January 22, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this book before taking my 7-year-old daughter to Disney World. It helps you get to know the parks before you arrive and form a strategy for maximizing fun and minimizing aggravation. I especially liked the A, B, C, and D ratings for the rides--these helped us know which ones were not to be missed and which ones were just okay to try if we had time. Fodors is my favorite line of travel guides, and this one is great. We covered 4 parks in 4 days, and we saw everything we wanted to at each one.
A Must Have for Parents Traveling to Disney World w/ Kids January 4, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is an absolute MUST HAVE. With this book I have been able to plan out our trip to Disney without any headaches. The book gives you hints for everything such as the best spots for the different parades, the best restaurants for your family, the best rides, shows and activities to do wtih your kids based on ages and how fun or scary each event is. Almost all of the suggestions and opinions are based on other families' feedback. I have lent this book out to three other families and they all say this is the best book. One friend bought the Frommer's version and got rid of it after I lent her this one! She just raved about how good it is!
Very Informative... A must have for your first visit to Disney. January 3, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased the book because my family is planning a trip to Disney in February 2007. The book is packed with lots of great information. We debated whether we should stay on site or off, and the book was very unbiased listing the pros and cons of each. Our vacation is planned now and we plan on using the book as our main reference while at the theme parks. Definitely worth every penny!
