5 out of 5 stars Fabulous!! A must have for any WDW visitor.   July 29, 2003

This is by far the best Walt Disney World travel book I've ever read/seen!! I love it!!

I spend a lot (and I mean, A LOT) of time planning my vacations. My planning includes scouring the web, reading tons of books and watching travel shows months ahead of my travel date. I've browsed through many Disney World related books in my local bookstore but the Passporter is the one that impressed me the most.

If you are planning a vacation to Disney World, and particularly if you intend to spend most of your trip in the WDW property, I HIGHLY recommend this book. It is packed with information on the hotels, restaurants, theme parks, special activities as well as travel tips and planning info for your trip. At least 3 pages are dedicated to each Disney resort and even more pages on each theme park (along with some great maps). There is also a great rating system for each resort, theme park attraction and restaurant/eatery. My favorite feature (which I have not seen in other travel books) are the maps of each hotel resort which even shows where the pools, eateries, play areas and transportation location.

I initially bought 2 other Disney-related travel books but returned those and kept just this one. Unless you're planning to spend a lot of time outside the Disney property, this really is the only book you will need. And for those who will be dividing their time between Disney and other Orlando theme parks, be sure to get this book and check out one of the following: "The Unofficial Guide to Florida with Kids" by Pam Brandon (if traveling with children) or "The Everything Travel Guide to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Greater Orlando" by Jason Rich. Happy travels!

5 out of 5 stars THE BEST Trip Planning Guide to Walt Disney World!   June 17, 2003

For years now I have been planning our family vacations with meticulous details, excel charts and lots and lots of research. In order to gather all the information I needed I would have to purchase several books and scour the internet. Now I only have to buy one book when I plan our trips, The Passporter! If I were to write a book, it would be like this one. It contains exactly the information needed to plan a well organized trip. The daily pockets in the back of the book are genius and store all tickets and printed confirmations. Even if you're not as detailed-oriented as I am, the Passporter provides information in a way that is clean and easy to read (and entertaining too). I am so glad I discovered this little gem! I have even purchased the Disney Cruise Line edition for my first cruise. So, if you are going to WDW for the first time or the thousandth, this is a great resource to ensure your vacation is smooth sailing!

I purchased this book along with WDW with kids by Wiley and WDW for kids by kids and this book has been the best resource thus far! While the other books I read were (even though marked for 2003) slightly outdated, a bit redundant and had ambiguous information, this guide, updated for use through 2004, had ALL the information necessary. It gave me all the inside info that I needed for traveling with kids, although the target audience is ALL tourists, with additional tips for those traveling with kids, without kids and seniors. The Passporter special features are great for storing and recording travel info and it is the only book that I'll be packing to take with me! I never thought I would want to take a guide book on vacation, but that's how helpful and unique it is!...

I used the Passporter on my trip to Disney World last year and I just bought the new edition to use on this year's trip. Passporter is a fantastic resource for anyone, first-timer or old Disney hand, planning a trip to WDW. The descriptions of the various Disney resorts are very thorough and include maps of each resort, so readers can get an idea beforehand where they might want to ask for a room. Each resort's section also has a sample room layout. Descriptions of the theme parks include highly accurate descriptions of each attraction and what to expect. The authors' young daughter even chimes in on selected attractions with her own thoughts, which might prove useful for folks with small kids. The section on Disney's restaurants is similarly comprehensive and very useful for planning evenings out. The back has 14 pocketed pages that visitors can use to plan their trip, store papers and receipts, and write down their memories of each day of their visit. The book is bound in a sturdy stock that can withstand a lot of wear and tear. And, best of all, it's a reasonable size, too. You can take it with you and not feel like you're lugging a brick. The Passporter really is a standout among Disney guidebooks. Get a copy, you won't regret it!

I can't believe I waited to buy this book. I've been to Disney World more than 10 times and read a lot online so I thought I knew almost everything I needed for my trip in July. But I kept finding new things while reading this book. It has space for all the things you need while planning your trip and terrific tips for your vacation. It has great up to date information and lists web sites. The biggest problem was that I quickly got a copy for my sister and some other items advertized in the book. Buy this book before you start to plan your trip!
