A yearly purchase November 25, 2006 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
I love this guide to WDW -- I get one every year for my annual trek to The World. This, together with the "Unofficial Guide" will give you everything you need to know. The Passporter not only gives reviews of the attractions based on mom, dad, and kids rating the attractions, it also provides amazingly wonderful color maps of each park and overall area, and several pockets to keep your own park maps, ticket stubs, and odds and ends that you collect. Those of us who find that important LOVE that feature at the back of the book. I find that the reviews are somewhat basic, and that mom and dad frequently disagree on which attractions they like and don't like - it's great to read their dissenting opinions as you decide what is worth a wait in line, and what is not. NOTE: the passporters do NOT provide comprehensive touring plans and attendance record information day to day like the Unofficial Guide does -- if your goal is the fastest possible completion of all attractions at the parks, make sure you get the Unofficial Guide as well. But, for me, the Passporters each year are an indespensible part of my WDW vacation.
Most Comprehensive WDW Guidebook November 16, 2006 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I purchased the 2006 edition, as well as two other guides. Of the three, this had the best layout, the best information and was the most user-friendly. The book is very helpful in planning individual days and has helpful worksheets and tips for planning on resorts, parks and other activities the "World" has to offer.
I recently purchased the 2007 edition for our upcoming trip and it was even better than the last. There are updates throughout and in the already exhaustive list of restaurant descriptions, the Marxes added a symbol to designate dining plan status & points for each location. Maps of individual parks are awesome, on par or even better than WDW's own maps.
Also available is a website offering frequent updates throughout the year, so you won't be left high and dry if something changed after the printing of the PassPorter.
All in all, this is the best book available for touring Walt Disney World. I would depend on PassPorter alone for my coming vacations.
